STANDARDS & SPECIFICATIONS

SUMP:

10 Ga. Cold rolled steel with 1" drain and cap. Elevated 4 inches above the ground for inspection and equipped with one set of forklift pockets 15 feet and under, and two sets over 15 feet.

Sumps are welded in conformance with ASME Section IX using qualified welding procedures and certified welders.

All sumps are hydro tested for a full 24 hour period.

GRATING:

All our buildings have a floor load rating of 500 pounds per square foot and are equipped with galvanized, non slip grating as a standard.

Special grating products such as fiberglass (FRP) Aluminum, stainless steel and alloy steel can be provided on request.

WALLS & ROOF:

Walls and roof panels are heavy corrugated cold rolled steel, continuously welded on all sides to eliminate crevice corrosion. Corrugated construction provides high load bearing capabilities and a clean durable surface for extra years of service life. Corners are formed from 10 Ga., cold rolled steel.

The structural portion of our buildings are welded in conformance with AWS D1.1, which is a structural welding code. All weld procedures are fully approved and all welding is performed by certified structural welders.

DOORS & HARDWARE:

Construction consists of A 14 Ga., cold rolled, exterior skin with a tubular steel frame backing. Our hinges are designed and manufactured in-house, with a rating of 2,900 pounds per hinge, and are equipped with stainless load bearing surfaces and grease fittings for periodic lubrication.

All doors are equipped with a sealing system comprised of a primary outer seal and a secondary inner seal. Seals are activated by the door locking system which compresses the seals.

SEISMIC RESTRAINT:

All buildings are equipped with seismic restraint tie downs on all four corners, After placement, 3/4 or 1 inch wedge anchors are used to hold the building in place.

GROUNDING:

Grounding lugs are provided on all buildings, One lug will normally ground the entire building including grating. Exceptions would be non conductive grating such as fiberglass.

VENTILATION:

Gravity vents are provided. Our standard design is six air changes per hour.

FINISH:

Sump interior is coated with 10 Mils of HazCote. The balance of the interior is
5 mils of HazCote. Exterior surfaces are coated with 5 mils of urethane enamel. Standard color is white.
